Forest School

Outdoor play and learning plays a huge part in the lives of the children here at Bunny Run, so we are delighted to have a ‘Forest School’ trained member of staff and a dedicated Forest School area on the Sham Farm Estate.

Our Forest School is in a shady woodland clearing, which the Preschoolers visit at least twice a week and the under 3s at least once a week,  throughout the year.

Our Forest School sessions not only inspire our children to explore, discover and investigate nature, but they also feed their natural curiosity for the world around them, whilst building their independence, confidence and resilience.

Our Forest School lead has developed a range of activities for the children to choose from or themes that the sessions take, but as always at Bunny Run we start with what interests each child. Some of our activities have included making perfumes and thinking about our senses, searching for mini-beasts, and collecting natural items and placing them in categories.
